Episode 10 – Jesus: The Christmas special

In the season finale we look at Jesus of Nazareth – a person of immense intrigue. However, the layers of mythology that surround him as well as the various claims about his identity, his nature, and our expected response, have also made him an impossible pill to swallow for many people. Rather than deal with the Jesus of Christmas carols, what happens if we place Jesus and his teachings in their original historical context? What picture of Jesus will then emerge?

Join Matt and Lucas as we speak with one of the worlds leading historians of early Christianity and one of the major scholars in contemporary historical Jesus research, John Dominic Crossan.

Episode 9 – Just Be(yond): Prayer and Spirituality

As our ideas of God expand and evolve, how might our prayer and spirituality do likewise? How are we to engage with a God not above and removed from earthly life, but intimately a part of it? And where is the soul in all this?

Parker Palmer, author, quaker and educator, as well as Uniting Church Minister Alex Sangster, explore these questions and help us delve the depths of our own hearts and inner worlds.

Episode 8 – Beyond 2000

If Darwin has helped open our eyes to some sort of creative impulse that is ever evolving and creating, what does this mean for how we are to see God? If the universe is on the move and going somewhere, how can we partner with this energy and be opened up to greater expressions of love? Bruce Sanguin, an evolutionary mystic, attempts to offer us such a pathway.
